Sina and Carlotta win the best pitch prize at Neckarthon 2025

Carlotta and Sina receiving the best pitch prize

Three members of the Systems Immunology Lab — Estel, Carlotta, and Sina — took part in the annual Neckarthon, a 48-hour-long Tübingen hackathon that brings together creative problem-solvers from diverse backgrounds. Together with their interdisciplinary teams of computer scientists, biologists, and other disciplines, they tackled a challenge from Lab Automation Network, a company focused on helping laboratories automate their workflows. As part of their challenge, they developed a prototype of an interactive AI to gather customer requirements for lab automation solutions. At the end of a fun and inspiring weekend, Carlotta and Sina, together with their team, impressed the independent jury and won the best pitch prize.
