Sina Showcases Research at ECI 2024 in Dublin

Sina and her poster at ECI 2024 in Dublin, IR

Our lab’s own Sina just got back from the European Congress of Immunology (ECI) 2024 in Dublin, where she presented her project on vaccine responses in cancer patients. Using systems biology tools, Sina is digging deep into how immunocompromised patients react to vaccines—a topic that’s gaining serious attention in the immunology world.

Sina's poster drew interest from a range of experts at ECI, sparking some insightful conversations about the influence of cancer treatments on the immune system, vaccine development for vulnerable populations, and the challenges of working with big datasets. The conference was a great chance for her to connect with fellow researchers, explore new ideas, and get valuable feedback on her work. Sina especially enjoyed the activities organized by yEFIS, the Young Immunologist Task Force of the Europen Immunology Societies, which allowed her to meet other PhD students from all over Europe and get valuable career advice from senior researchers.

We’re excited to see where this research leads next, and we’re proud of Sina for representing our lab on the international stage.
