Exchange with the Japanese immunology community

In November, Florian helped organize a workshop of the Immune Alliance in Nara, Japan. The meeting, which was held in beautiful Nara and was organized by Osamu Takeuchi and Koji Tokoyoda, showcased cutting-edge immunology research in Germany and Japan, including talks on regulatory T cells (Dietmar Zehn, Shimon Sakaguchi), mechanisms of B cell activation (Klaus Rajewski), and immune metabolism (Sidonia Fagarasan). Of course, Florian also presented the latest results from the Systems Immunology Lab on vaccine immunity in cancer patients. The Immune Alliance is a series of seminars organized by the DGfI and the Japanese Society for Immunology, which seeks to boost German-Japanese cooperation in immunology by inviting leading experts to present and discuss new research.

Thrilled to delve into the world of #immunology 💉 and connect with brilliant colleagues in the truely exceptional setting of #Nara Park! 🇯🇵 Deers are roaming the conference venue! 🦌 🏯 #ImmuneAlliance #DGfI #JSI
